OHP Dental Benefits

Free dental care with OHP

Last verified: July 19, 2026

What it pays or provides

OHP dental covers checkups, x-rays, cleanings and fluoride varnish, fillings, extractions, stainless steel crowns on back teeth, full dentures (every 10 years) and partial dentures (every 5 years), specialist care, and emergency or urgent care. If you're pregnant, you also get extra cleanings, prefabricated crowns, and root canals on back teeth, through 12 months after your pregnancy ends. Kids ages 0-20 get enhanced preventive care, sealants, crowns, and root canals, and braces if a dentist finds they're needed to fix a problem hurting your child's overall health.

Who qualifies

Getting OHP dental doesn't require a separate application -- if you're enrolled in OHP, you already have dental coverage.

How other benefits affect it

OHP dental is included automatically with OHP -- you don't apply for it separately. If a dentist can't take new OHP patients, dental schools like the OHSU School of Dentistry treat OHP patients at reduced rates.

How to apply

Apply online (ONE.Oregon.gov)In personBy phone

You get OHP dental automatically once you're enrolled in OHP through ONE.Oregon.gov, a local certified community partner, an ODHS office, or by calling 1-800-699-9075. To find a dentist, check your CCO's provider directory or call your CCO -- if you don't know which CCO you're in, call OHP Client Services at 1-800-273-0557. If you're not in a CCO for dental, use Insure Kids Now! to find OHP dentists in your area. For general help, call OHP Care Coordination at 1-800-562-4620.
